the Betrayal

I am an older woman, trying to hold her own in the land of younger women, many fashion bloggers.  Some days are harder than others...

Sometimes I look in the mirror and wonder who is reflected,

I see the years clearly marked, each and every one leaves a trail.

And other times, when the light is soft and the make-up is working,

I catch a glimpse of the me that used to be

And I believe that she's still here.

But reality is cruel and returns with no warning,

That woman called ma'am,

The eyes of young men glide over,

The doors held open,

Who gave permission, the body, the spirit,

Trapped together. 

Change is good...

Change is coming to Anthrofashionist, it's not just about fashion anymore....  It will be more about the multi-dimensional me.  So be patient as I rework my format and I'll keep you in the loop as it progresses.

I have spent several hours trying to get dressed today.  Being creative with mixing prints and patterns, textures and colors.  But somehow it looked like these pictures below.  A cacophonous mess...

I am finally leaving for work, wearing a rather boring, but safe outfit.  Not sure what planets are misaligned today, but something is cray-cray in this universe...   Either that or I lost my sense of fashion...

P.S. It has nothing to do with the Peter Pilotto pieces from Target!  I bought a few and love them!

Well, the only problem is that all the extra small customers got to Target about ten minutes before I did and wiped out almost all of that size.  I did purchase a blouse and a pair of pants in vibrant prints.  Looking forward to wearing them soon.... but not together?!
