Were you at the Byrd Thursday night?  No, you missed it... let me catch you up.  Doors opened at 6 pm... Drinks, snacks and schmoozing in the lobby.

The fashion show started a bit after 7 pm, fashionably late....
hosted by Lisa Schaffner of UNOS and Jeanie Rule of Elements and featured apparel and accessories from several shops in Carytown - Bygones, Fab'rik, Walkabout Outfitter, AlterNatives, Glassboat and Lex's of Carytown. Each segment was timed with a film and music of the shop's choosing, ranging from the Jazz Age through present day...

A silent auction took place on the balcony to raise additional money for the Byrd, which is beginning a period of restoration to the way it was, historically speaking.

The attendance was a little sparse (you SHOULD have been there), but the audience made up for it with enthusiasm.  After-parties were held at the Daily Kitchen and Bar and Portrait House, with 10% of proceeds going to the Byrd.

Thanks to Brian Godsey, videographer, of Profound Productions and J.C. Vera, photographer of Richmond, Va. and Lima, Peru.  Missed my girl, Dawn Yilmaz and Deuce (Duncan Scott)... They're all my photog buddies.

Low lighting made it challenging to adjust my camera in manual mode, so there were unusable photos. Apologies, I did my best to include all the shops that showed.

Mark these dates on your calendar: October 9 through 12

where: Haxall Point (formerly F.W. Sullivan's at the Canal)
